TRADITIONAL AND CREATIVE PORTRAITS

In portrait photography, the aim is to capture a person's essence, personality, identity, and attitude, using a combination of backgrounds, lighting, and posing techniques.  There are several portrait types to choose from.

The traditional portrait is typically taken in a studio setting with the subject posed straight towards the camera. The shot usually focuses on the head and shoulders with a prepared background and studio lighting.

Family and group portraits feature multiple subjects, and the photographer often uses prompts and group interactions to capture candid moments and emotions.

Lifestyle portraits aim to capture individuals in their natural surroundings, with the photographer guiding rather than posing their subjects to create a candid and realistic portrayal.

Environmental portraits highlight the person in their environment with an emphasis on location. While these portraits are often staged, they still showcase the natural environment and location of the subject.

Beauty portraits focus on showcasing the beauty of the subject, often involving professional makeup and wardrobe planning.

Fine art portraits allow the photographer and model to express their creativity and can be very abstract and artistic.
